Shai Hope broke the record for the highest individual score at Multan Cricket Stadium in the first ODI, surpassing Yasir Hameed. Shai Hope achieved the milestone after scoring 127 runs off 134 balls.

Multan is holding an international competition for the first time in 14 years, and Shai Hope has set a new record in the first match. Shai Hope, who batted first for West Indies, anchored the innings with a century in the opening ODI. The West Indian opener etched his mark in Multan’s annals by scoring the greatest individual score there.

In the process, Shai Hope smashed Yasir Hameed’s 19-year-old record at Multan Cricket Stadium.
His 127 off 134 balls, laced with 15 fours and a six is now the biggest ODI innings played by any player at Multan Cricket Stadium. The record was previously held by Yasir Hammed who had scored 116 runs against Bangladesh in 2003.
