Naila Kiani, a mountaineer from Pakistan, has successfully reached the summit of Gasherbrum-I (G1), the eleventh-highest mountain in the world. She succeeds in becoming the first indigenous woman to reach the top of G1, Gasherbrum-II (G2), and K2 on her first attempt. Naila was a member of an expedition that began its ascent to the summit of G1.

Naila is a banker by trade and an avid mountaineer; she represents strong, capable, and resilient female athletes. Her second challenge of the year came after she reached the peak of K2 on July 22. The female mountaineer has encouraged gender equality in the sports world and inspired women all throughout the country with her spectacular climbs.
