YES Electromotive, an entirely original maker of electric vehicles (EVs), participated in the Pakistan Auto Show (PAS) 2022 with plans to introduce MUVA electric rickshaws in Pakistan.
According to a company official, Lahore, Pakistan is the exclusive manufacturing and assembly location for MUVA electric rickshaws.
Before it is formally introduced to the general public or the market, the corporation is fine-tuning it through testing, research, and development.
A development programme for light commercial vehicles was covered under MUVA, or Modular Utility Vehicle Architecture.
The little electric vehicles serve the same function as a traditional rickshaw but emit no tailpipe pollution. It is effective and costs 7 times less to operate than a typical three-wheel rikshaw.
It is a lightweight commercial electric vehicle (EV) with seating for three people plus the driver, with a maximum load capacity of 300 kg and a total weight of 450 kg. Additionally, it has a single permanent magnet electric motor that has a maximum output of 10.7 horsepower.
The MUVA rickshaw would only be marketed as a commercial electric vehicle, and the company’s goal is to have a smooth sales process. According to a spokesman, YES Electromotive is also eager to adopt an operational model for a ride-hailing service in which the driver might deploy these rickshaws using a mobile app.
