
Lahore: Ministry of Railways has decided to restore three more trains from October 20 for the convenience of passengers.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Federal Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq in which it was decided to restore Millat Express, Allama Iqbal Express and Sukkur Express.
Millat Express goes to Sargodha, Faisalabad and Karachi via Lala Musa while Allama Iqbal Express runs between Sialkot and Karachi. Sukkur Express is operated between Karachi and Rohri.
The Railway Minister expressed satisfaction over the occupancy, punctuality and cleanliness of the trains while the maintenance of ML One, Two and Three was reviewed, apart from the work on the Heroic Bridge connecting Karachi and Quetta.
Details and details of Thar Coal Transportation Project were also compiled.
Earlier, three trains were restored between Karachi and Lahore on October 5 while two trains that were already running were also allowed to run from Rohri to Karachi.
It should be noted that the railway tracks were severely affected due to flood in Sindh due to which the railways had to stop the train operation one and a half months ago.
