Divorce is a very painful experience for both men and women, and when a couple’s separation is in the public eye, things are even more difficult and painful for the parties involved. Feroze Khan and Syeda Aliza Sultan were married at a very young age and the couple’s entire marriage has been under public scrutiny. Things were not good between them and they separated once but reconciled. Their daughter was born after the reconciliation but things turned sour and the couple is now officially divorced.
The divorce was not easy as Aliza accused Feroze Khan of abuse which he did not answer and now the couple is fighting in the courts for the custody of their children Sultan and Fatima.
Both Aliza and Feroze were present in court for the hearing where their lawyers presented their official demands from both sides. Aliza’s lawyer said that her client has sought 1 lakh per child for child maintenance and she wants a separate accommodation for her children as per their father’s standards. While Feroze’s lawyer said that they are not ready to arrange a separate residence as it would increase security concerns about Feroze’s children.
