Kashmiri leader Ali Geelani’s son-in-law died in Indian custody

New Delhi: Altaf Ahmed Shah, son-in-law of Kashmiri leader Ali Geelani, died in Indian custody.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Altaf Ahmad Shah, son-in-law of late Kashmiri leader Ali Geelani and leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, who was illegally imprisoned in Indian jail for a long time, died.

Altaf Ahmad Shah was incarcerated in Delhi’s notorious Tihar Jail since 2017. He was shifted to a hospital where his health worsened, where he died. Altaf Ahmad Shah was diagnosed with cancer while incarcerated, yet the Indian government allowed him to die. Not released.

Kashmiri leaders and other Muslim prisoners detained or held captive in jails by India are not provided with any basic human needs, including medical treatment, which poses a threat to their lives.
