The Vivo X80 flagship series and X80 Pro were released in April, although the series is not yet complete. The Vivo X80 Pro+, an ultra-high-end flagship, is rumoured to be on the way, but a new report hints at a more affordable smartphone in the series.
According to Root My Galaxy, Vivo is developing a new device for the global market. This Vivo phone has the model number V2208 and is likely to be the Vivo X80 Lite 5G, which has yet to be unveiled. For the time being, there is no information on the phone’s specifications.

Since 2020, Vivo’s X series has lacked a Lite model. The Vivo X50 was the last to receive it, although the X60 and X70 series were left out. The Vivo X80 Lite 5G will be a toned-down version of the Vivo X80, as the name suggests. The handset is expected to appear on certification platforms soon, revealing the phone’s specifications.
The Vivo X80 Pro+, on the other hand, will be the Chinese brand’s most powerful phone to date. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and feature better cameras than the X80 Pro. It will also have faster charging at 120W and is expected to launch in October this year with the X80 Lite 5G.
