Thur Parker: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated Thar Coal Mines Phase Two and said that it is a project of prosperity and development, Thar coal will generate ten rupees per unit of electricity.
He said this while inaugurating the expansion project of Thar Coal Block to Sindh Engro Coal Mine Company. Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Chinese Ambassador and other officials also spoke on this occasion. Prime Minister was briefed on Thar coal project. He also met the women truck drivers engaged in the delivery of coal.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that there are 175 million tons of coal reserves in Thar, which can be used to make gas. By next year, there will be an extraordinary increase in the country’s economy from the coal of Thar. The power generation capacity of the power project will increase to 2640 MW. will be done
Shahbaz Sharif said that Thar coal will generate electricity at ten rupees per unit, it is a project of prosperity and development, it is a project completed with modern technology which will not cause environmental pollution, there was a time when living in Thar There were no signs and today electricity is produced from here.
He said that thermal plants and boilers are of the best quality, there is no pollution, this project will benefit the economy of Pakistan, the project will save our foreign exchange, if 100% thermal coal is supplied, billions of dollars. Will be saved.
He said that oil prices go up and down, Thar has large reserves of coal, which I will call a meeting in Islamabad next week to convert it into oil and diesel. Will consult with the holder.
Regarding gas, he said that gas is beyond our means, it has not been managed yet, 24 billion dollars have been spent on energy in 6 months.
The Prime Minister said that we have to improve the railway system together to deliver coal.
