Bahrain and Kalam Road has been restored by the district administration of Swat with an assistantship of Pakistan Army Corps of Engineers, Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) and National Highway Authority (NHA).
The severe flood between Bahrain and Kalam ruthlessly wrecked numerous connecting roads and bridges.
The roads were repaired and reopened for general traffic on Shaukat Ali Yousafzai’s specific instructions, with cooperation from the District Administration Swat, Engineers 11 Corps, Frontier Works Organization (FWO), and NHA.
The Commissioner promised to rebuild the city within two days during his previous visit, and he kept his word.
Shaukat Ali gave the go-ahead and ordered the authorities to rebuild the connecting road from Bahrain to Kalam and to expedite the relief effort in Mittaltan, Gabral, Ariani, and other places. He also praised the efforts made by the locals, the district government, the FWO, the NHA, and the Pakistan Army.
It is pertinent to inform that NHA stated the road is opened for light traffic and confirmed to avoid the heavy traffic.
However, it is also advised to obey traffic rules to avoid unnecessary traffic jams.
