Washington/Kyiv: Yesterday, in response to missile attacks in 7 major cities of Russia, including Kyiv, the United States has promised to provide Ukraine with an air defense system that destroys missiles in the air.
According to the World News Agency, US President Joe Biden spoke to his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky on the telephone and promised to provide advanced air defense systems.
The US President assured that he and his allies will continue to provide all possible support to Ukraine and will also express solidarity with Ukraine at the G7 meeting.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy once again called on friendly countries to supply military equipment, saying that Russia’s recent missile attacks were an attempt to wipe out Ukraine.
In a statement from the White House, it is said that the United States will continue to supply Ukraine with air defense systems and other military equipment so that Ukraine can defend itself against Russian aggression.
President Joe Biden promised to give the air defense system when Russia launched missile attacks on 7 major cities including the Ukrainian capital yesterday, killing 14 people and injuring more than 60.
According to Al Jazeera’s reporter, the air defense system that America has promised to provide is capable of shooting down helicopters in addition to drones and missiles.
It should be noted that in February of this year, Russia invaded Ukraine and occupied four major cities and annexed it to Russia by holding a referendum in these cities.
