KP Government Creates Relief Fund for Flood Victims

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan recently announced the creation of a relief fund to aid flood victims and made a particular plea to the public and donors to give freely.

However, the cash assistance for flood affected could be deposited in the Bank of Khyber Account No. PK32KHYB0015002008365353.

He assured the victims that KP government would not leave its people alone in such hard times. Further, the rescue and relief teams are also working hard in flood-affected areas of the province.

Earlier, the instructions were also passed by the CM Mahmood Khan that two helicopters have been allotted to the district administration of Swat to carry out rescue and relief operation in Kalam.

Further, the emergency has been declared in Swat after the scale of destruction caused by the flooding.

However, a notification has been issued by the KP relief department stated that the state of emergency would be in effective till 30 August for relief efforts in flood-hit areas of Swat.

Meanwhile, the two markets were washed off in Swat, as Swat River is witnessing a very high flood.

Additional deputy commissioner of Swat, Abrar Wazir shared a statement that 28 people got injured by the floods in different parts of the district. Moreover, 233 houses, 41 schools, 50+ hotels and 24 bridges swept off because of flood as per data collected so far.
