Karachi: A man who was kept in chains in the office of a private company was rescued by the police.
On the request of the father, Tipu Sultan police rescued the son who was kept in custody and took the security guard into custody. According to the police, a person named Ashiq had applied to the police station that his son is being kept imprisoned in the office of a building on Shaara Faisal, where he is also being subjected to torture.
On the father’s tip, the police went to the office, where Abdul Ghaffar was found chained and with signs of torture on his body. The police also detained the security guard Hashim who was present at the spot. Abdul Ghaffar, an employee of a shipping company, is accused of allegedly stealing Rs 5 lakh and has been in custody since October 3 this month. During this time, a video of torture was also made on him.
The police have sent the rescued person to Jinnah Hospital late night for medical examination, after which further legal action will be taken.
