Daily Deli: The ‘Burger Capital of Pakistan’ Gets Lahore’s Famous Burger Joint at Last!

Eaters, rejoice! Daily Deli Co. (DD), one of the most well-known burger restaurants in Lahore, arrives in Islamabad, the burger capital of the world.

My binge-eating Lahori buddies highly recommend DD to anyone who is looking for a new restaurant to go out at with pals. And those people are the experts on cuisine.

When Daily Deli Co. opened their new location, it was crowded with ravenous customers. To see what all the hoopla was about, I went down there. Although it’s a difficult job, someone needs to do it.

Before I could grab a bite, I got a chance to talk to meet one of the “burger specialists”, aka the owner of Daily Deli Co., Gohar Hayat Miraj. I got a chance to talk about his highly successful fast food venture.

What’s the story behind Daily Deli Co.?

“DD started off back in 2017 with its first branch in Johar Town, Lahore. It was a small set up back then and since then Allah has given us the will and power to open up 5 more branches with Islamabad being the latest of them all. Throughout our 5 year journey, DD has seen it all and all those experiences have made the brand stronger than before.”

Lahore is the food hub of Pakistan, what were some of the challenges you faced?

“We were lucky enough to find a very good customer base for us. We treat every customer like a family of DD and so do they. We have tried to learn from our mistakes and try not to repeat them, which gives us the competitive advantage.”

What is your most popular item on the menu?

“Our 2 top sellers are the Tangy Molten Lava burger and Smokey House burger. They are both available in beef and grilled chicken but beef being our specialty; customers like that the most!”

What makes Daily Deli the best burger joint in town?

“We claim to be the burger specialist. Which means we know the ideology of the burgers inside out. We know our customers and also what they prefer to eat. Whatever you find on our menu is selected by customer’s choice. We respect every other business in the industry be it our strongest competitor. Hence, we don’t claim to serve the best and leave that opinion open for our customers’ to judge. Our aim is to serve them the same quality burger over and over again with no changes in taste from first to the last bite!”

Overwhelmed by the choices in front of me (all the burgers looked delicious), I “modestly” ordered only 3 burgers with a side of ice cold Oreo Shake to wash it down.

Smokey House

First up on the table was DD’s Smokey House. True to its name, the burger had that “smokey” essence thanks to its delicious smoked bologna slices, giving it a rich, earthy flavor.

Also, it had an absolutely juicy beef patty, a very important element that can make or break a good burger.

DD’s Signature

Next up is a burger bursting with flavors. It has all the classic ingredients: fresh tomato, onion slices and lettuce paired with another juicy beef patty.

The Signature has one more ingredient, jalapeño, for that extra “kick!”

Cheesy Mushroom

And finally we have the mouth-watering Cheesy Mushroom. This combination of flavorful juicy beef patty, paired with mushroom sauce, made with crushed peppercorn can never go wrong. It was love in every bite.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Daily Deli Co. and will be going back for Round 2. The new fast food franchise lives up to its billing as the “burger specialists”. So, grab a buddy, head on over to DD and enjoy the best burgers in town!
