Cuba’s Corona vaccine is effective, scientists claim
Havana: Cuban scientists claim that the corona vaccine they have developed is highly effective and safe, and that the vaccine meets World Health Organization standards.
According to the details, the Cuban Covid-19 vaccine Abdala is claimed to be 92.28% effective, according to the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB), which developed the vaccine.
A spokesman for the CIGB said Abdala was 92.28 per cent effective and was the second vaccine to meet World Health Organization (WHO) standards.
Earlier, Biocaba Pharma, a group of Cuban biotech companies, found the Sobrana 01 Sobrana 02 vaccine developed by the Finlay Institute to be 62% effective.
So far, Cuban experts have developed five vaccines against the corona virus. Sobrana 01, Sobrana 02, Sobrana Plus, Abdala and Membisa. Sobrana 02 and Abdala are being manufactured industrially.
