According to a spokeswoman for Pakistan Railways, 46 new passenger coaches would be purchased in the first batch, while 184 couches will be prepared at the carriage factory in Islamabad in the second batch.
He added that these passenger coaches would have 80 compartments, including 20 vans for luggage and 20 vans for brakes, as well as compartments for economy and air-conditioned class.
200 freight vans would be imported whereas, 620 of such compartment would be prepared at the factory, he added further.
