
Pakistan’s renowned professional boxer Usman Wazir created history by winning the World Youth Title fight held under the World Boxing Organization without government support.
Usman Wazir, a national boxer from Astoor, Gilgit-Baltistan, has previously won the ABF Asian title and the World Boxing Council Middle East title for Pakistan. Defeated in the title bout, this is the first world title for a Pakistani boxer in professional boxing.
The World Youth Title fight under the World Boxing Organization was played in Bangkok, Thailand, in which national hero Usman Wazir knocked out Thailand’s top-ranked boxer Somput Sesa in the sixth round.
When Usman Wazir entered the ring for the world youth title fight in Bangkok, the rival boxer was helpless in front of his moves and punches. The ground advantage was there but Usman’s game was outstanding and he won by knocking out Somput Sisa in the sixth round.
Pakistan was participating for the first time in the under-23 category in this competition under the World Boxing Organization.
After the victory, Usman Wazir said in his video message that he had prepared a lot for this historic fight, today his hard work has been rewarded and he has become Pakistan’s first boxing world champion.
He said that I dedicate my title to my parents who have always supported me, I also thank my coaches.
Usman Wazir said that I have won this title without government support, I appeal to the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif and the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan Khalid Khurshid to support the boxing talent in the country, thus giving Pakistan many more Usmans. Minister can meet.
