Another historic Chinese initiative to build a space station
Beijing: China has announced the names of astronauts for the construction of a space station.
According to foreign media reports, Assistant Director of China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) Ji Chi Ming said in a press conference that the first manned mission will be launched into orbit during the construction of China’s space station for three months Will stay
Chinese astronaut Hai Sheng will lead the mission, while Liu Booming and Tang Hong will join the Boshen Zhou-12 mission. Thirteen were part of the Shen Zhou-10 mission.
According to media reports, this will be Liu Booming’s second flight into space, having previously participated in the Shen Zhou-7 mission in 2008, which featured a significant walk in space.
Tang Hong will go into space for the first time. He became a member of the second contingent of Chinese astronauts in 2010.
According to media reports, Xie Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu will be the alternate staff.
It may be recalled that in April this year, China took the historic step of building a separate station in space and sent its first module into space.
It should be noted that there is currently an International Space Station in space in which China has no part. This station has been jointly developed by the space agencies of the United States, Japan, Canada, Russia and Europe. Possibly China’s new space station could end the International Space Station’s monopoly on space.
