The dollar depreciated by Rs 1.12 to Rs 231 per rupee in intra-day trade at the inter-bank market.
The rupee rose for the fifth consecutive trading session against the dollar on Thursday after a change in leadership in the finance ministry and Ishaq Dar’s warning to local currency speculators.
The dollar fell by Rs 1.12 to Rs 231 in intra-day trade at the interbank market, lower than the previous session’s close of Rs 232.12.
