Karachi: The main highway Jahangir Road, which is being built on the special instructions of Administrator Karachi, has become a victim of cracks within a week.
According to the details, Karachi’s Jahangir Road has collapsed again within a week. Due to the use of poor materials, a pothole has formed in the middle of the main road, while sewers have boiled in the surrounding streets including Jahangir Road. The polluted water is adding to the woes of commuters, raising many questions on the efficiency of local bodies.
Reconstruction of one track of the main road was ensured years later by the Pakistan Works Department.
The citizen said that billions of rupees are kept in the name of tenders and taxes, but the work is done only for exhibition purposes.
The second track of Jahangir Road is also on the verge of destruction due to deep potholes and boiling drains and is waiting for the special attention of the administration. Citizens say that billions of rupees are kept in the name of tenders but only exhibition work is done.
