Lahore: The Pakistan Hockey Federation demanded the government to issue NOC to the national hockey team and restore the grant of the federation.

The President of the Federation, Khalid Sajjad Khokhar, has made it clear in his statement that the non-participation of the national team in the Azlan Shah tournament will bring shame to the country after the government did not allow it to participate in the event.

The president of the federation said that it is important to fulfill the commitment at the international level, the government committee should do its job but let us do our job and allow the national team to go out.

President PHF said that not sending a team to the Pro Hockey League was a big loss, we have reached the 12th to 18th ranking in the world ranking, it is very important to remove the cloud of uncertainty over the national game for the improvement of hockey. Is.

On the other hand, the camp of the national team for the Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament is ongoing in Karachi, in which 11 players are not part of the camp due to playing leagues, while the government’s attitude has put a question mark on the participation of the national team in the event.

It should be noted that the Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament is being played from November 16 to November 25 in Ipoh, Malaysia.

Earlier, the government had barred the Pakistan Hockey Federation from participating in the Azlan Shah Cup hockey tournament while the Pakistan Sports Board had refused to issue the NOC for the event to the PHF.
