Thatta Cement refutes rumors of plant shutdown
Thatta Cement Company Limited has rejected the claims of sudden closure of the plant as baseless and false.
The company issued a clarification on Thursday in response to statements made during a competitor corporate briefing session on November 20, 2024.
In a notification issued to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Thatta Cement clarified that it has successfully sold local coal for the past three years. has been using it since and there has been no adverse impact on its operations. The company assured stakeholders that its plant is fully operational, and there have been no shutdowns.
The management emphasized that any reports regarding the alleged shutdown should be ignored unless officially confirmed by the authorized representatives of the company. Thatta Cement reiterated its commitment to maintain transparency and urged stakeholders to rely on verified information.
