On the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Devji’s 555th birth anniversary, the federal government is introducing commemorative rupees. 55 coin.
In a statement, the central bank emphasized the country’s rich heritage of diverse religious traditions, highlighting Sikhism’s founder Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji as the most notable figure to emerge from the region that is now Pakistan.
This coin is being issued from 22 November 2024 through exchange counters of all field offices of SBP Banking Services Corporation.
The coin shall have the following composition, shape and dimensions:-
Metal Composition: Nickel Brass, 79%, Zn 20% and Ni 1%
Dimensions: 30.0 mm
Weight: 13.5 grams
