The District and Sessions Courts of the federal capital Islamabad ordered Shehbaz Gul to appear before the court on October 6 in the case of sedition.
According to the media report, Additional Sessions Judge Tahir Abbas has been appointed as a supra judge in Shahbaz Gul case, Shahbaz Gul was absent from the court while Prosecutor Rizwan Abbasi appeared.
The police submitted a challan against Shehbaz Gill in the Sessions Court. A summons was issued to summon Shehbaz Gill for trial on police challan.
It should be noted that last month, the Islamabad High Court had ordered the release of PTI leader Shehbaz Gill, who was arrested in the sedition case, on bail.
Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Athar Minullah, while hearing the case of sedition, granted bail to arrested PTI leader Shehbaz Gill on a bond of Rs 5 lakh.
