Dubai: In Saudi Arabia, a 5-year-old student died due to suffocation after being accidentally locked in a school bus.
According to the World News Agency, the driver of the school bus in the eastern province of Qatif, Saudi Arabia, dropped the children at school without checking and parked the bus after locking the doors and windows while a child was sleeping in the back seat.
During the school break, the driver returned and opened the bus to find a child slumped in the back seat, who was taken to the hospital where a doctor confirmed the student’s death.
While expressing regret over the death of the child, the spokesperson of the Education Department has indicated strict action against the driver whose negligence took the life of an innocent child.
