The Pakistani rupee remained stable for the second consecutive business day, as it made a fresh recovery against the US dollar in the interbank market on Monday.
According to details, the local currency appreciated by Rs 2.15 against the greenback and was trading around Rs 237.5. According to Central Bank of Pakistan data, the rupee closed at Rs 239.65 on Friday.
With the latest daily gain, the rupee has recovered a total of Rs 2.22 in the last two working days.
The Pakistan Stock Exchange is also bullish as the benchmark KSE 100 index gained 335 points to trade around 40,900 points.
