“Resident Evil” by Ahad Raza Mir is cancelled by Netflix after one season

Resident Evil actor Ahad Raza Mir’s Netflix acting debut came to an untimely end. The sitcom was cancelled by the streaming provider after just one season and no second was ordered.

The Resident Evil series on Netflix offered a novel perspective on the well-known horror genre. The Netflix series had a whole new plot and cast of characters. Ella Balinska, Lance Reddick, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, and Paola Nuez were among the cast members of the programme.

For Pakistani fans, this was Ahad Raza Mir debut on an international project, becoming the first Pakistani actor to be featured on a Netflix show. However, due to poor rating and viewership, Ahad Raza Mir won’t be returning to play the role of Arj Batra.

It comes as no surprise for the drama series, loosely based on the popular franchise, to succumb to cancellation. According to reports, Resident Evil did not have a strong show on Netflix’s Top 10 in terms of cost and viewership.

What did you think about Ahad Raza Mir and Resident Evil, should it have been cancelled or not? Let us know in the comment section below.
