Pope Francis, the leader of the Catholic Church and ruler of the Vatican City, compelled the international community to support Pakistan since tens of thousands of people there are currently suffering due to the rainy season, which is wreaking devastation throughout the country.
During his visit to the city of L’Aquila in central Italy, the Pope concentrated on aid. He announced that he had prayed for the flood victims and urged prompt and generous global solidarity.
Many nations came up to provide humanitarian relief for the flood-devastated nation, including the UK, US, UAE, Iran, and Turkey.
In addition, Islamabad requested additional international aid as numerous regions were ravaged by torrential rains and flooding, which made thousands of people homeless.
Meanwhile, earlier PM Shehbaz Sharif announced endowment of 10bn rupees to the affected people of flood.
However, every flood-hit family would get the endowment of 25,000 rupees.
