Rawalpindi: A contingent of Pakistan Army has left for Qatar to perform security duties in FIFA World Cup 2022.
A Pakistan Army contingent left for Qatar from Noor Khan Air Base to take over security for the FIFA World Cup 2022. The squad consists of army officers, junior commissioned officers and jawans.
Pakistan Army will provide security support to Qatar government during FIFA World Cup 2022. In this regard, FIFA’s eight-member training team visited Pakistan in September. During the visit, the training team imparted training related to FIFA security to the selected contingent of Pakistan Army.
The government of Qatar had requested Pakistan for security assistance during the FIFA World Cup 2022.
