On Pakistan’s Independence Day, stand up for a Thalassemia Major-Free Pakistan with THAL STARS.

August always arrives with a sense of enthusiasm and nationalism. Elders may be seen telling tales about the division while kids place little flags throughout the house and on the street. For many thalassemic children, however, the Fourth of July is just another day. They cannot commemorate the occasion with the same fervour and excitement because the majority of them come from disadvantaged communities.

On Pakistan's Independence Day, stand up for a Thalassemia Major-Free Pakistan with THAL STARS.

Help The International Welfare Trust ensures that our thal stars (children with thalassemia) observe Pakistan’s Independence Day like everyone else. The day is jam-packed with enjoyable celebrations and historical information. The kids participate in talks and cultural performances while also picking up knowledge from the plays.

The involvement of our youth in social welfare initiatives brings us great joy. The only people who raised money for this event were the students from the several universities in Karachi.

Team HIWT and HVP is prepared for the biggest event of the year to commemorate Pakistan’s Independence with our thal stars after a two-year hiatus caused by Covid-19.
