The Prime Minister took to Twitter after the Islamabad High Court (IHC) verdict accepting the Muslim League-N leader’s plea against his conviction.

The Accountability Court sentenced former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to 10 years in prison with a fine of 8 million pounds, Maryam to 7 years in prison and Captain (R) Safdar to one year in prison with a fine in the Avenfield Properties reference on 6 July 2018.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had accused the Muslim League (N) leader of implicating his father and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in the crime.
A two-member bench of the Islamabad High Court comprising Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani heard his petition and pronounced the verdict after the arguments of the parties were completed.
In its verdict, the court said that NAB failed to prove the case against the accused.
