Supreme Court Judge Justice Qazi Faiz Isa wrote a letter to the Chief Justice to convene a meeting of the Judicial Commission, in which 50 thousand pending cases were also identified in the Supreme Court.

In the letter written by Justice Qazi Faiz Isa to the Chief Justice, it has been said that more than fifty thousand cases have been accumulated in the Supreme Court and the number is increasing with each passing day.

He wrote in the letter that the Judicial Commission consists of nine members, the Supreme Court consists of the Chief Justice of Pakistan and sixteen judges. Supreme Court cases will never be decided.

He wrote that “According to the constitution, the responsibility of ensuring speedy delivery of justice rests on the Supreme Court, of which you are the Chief Justice. Let us not lose the trust of the people of Pakistan.”

Justice Qazi Faiz Isa further wrote that I have met you (Chief Justice) several times on the matter of appointments of judges, an immediate meeting of the Judicial Commission should be called for the nomination of judges in the Supreme Court.
