Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar visited the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), took a briefing on tax collection for the current financial year and directed to further increase tax collection.

According to the Ministry of Finance, Chairman FBR told in the briefing that FBR has achieved the tax target for July and August, will also achieve the tax target for the first quarter of the current financial year.

Chairman FBR said that the tax target was achieved despite the decrease in imports and economic activities due to floods, the tax target was achieved despite the absence of sales tax on petroleum products.

According to the Ministry of Finance, Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar directed the FBR to adjust with the change in the economic situation and to further increase the tax collection.
