
Islamabad: There is a fear of Ebola virus entering Pakistan from the African country of Uganda, the National Institute of Health has issued a warning letter about Ebola virus.
The National Institute of Health, while issuing an advisory, directed the relevant institutions to be vigilant regarding Ebola. Last month, 36 Ebola cases, 23 deaths were reported in Uganda.
According to the advisory, Ebola is caused by four viruses of the genus, the cause of the recent spread of Ebola in humans is the SUDV virus, the fear of the spread of Ebola at the global and regional level has been reduced.
WHO has been closely monitoring the Ebola outbreak in Uganda. The advisory stated that WHO opposes trade, travel restrictions on Uganda, Central Health Establishment, commercial organizations to be alert for Ebola, Central Health Establishment to monitor arrivals from Uganda.
According to WHO, suspected Ebola cases coming to Pakistan should be reported to NIH, suspected Ebola cases entering Pakistan should be quarantined, samples of suspected Ebola cases should be sent under national guidelines.
