
Sindh High Court issued interim written order (Photo file)
Karachi: The Sindh High Court issued an interim written order on the petitions against the collection of KMC tax in the bills of K Electric and extended the injunction regarding non-collection of tax until the next hearing.
A 2-member bench headed by Justice Syed Hassan Azhar Rizvi issued a written interim order on the petitions related to collection of KMC tax in K-electric bills.

Usman Farooq, Saifuddin, Arif Shaikh, Ehtishamullah Khan Advocates appeared for the petitioners while S Hasan Mujtaba Abidi and Ezra Moqim Advocates appeared for the MC. Muhammad Arif Advocate and Administrator Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab also appeared.
Qazi Umair Advocate, Syed Irfan Ali Shah, Jam Mohsin Aftab, Saif Jatoi and Ayan Mustafa Memon Advocates appeared on behalf of Electric. Deputy Attorney General Muhammad Qasim and Assistant Advocate General Mehran Khan also appeared.
The court, in an interim written order, said that K Electric submitted a reply to a petition. Munir A. Malik and Khalid Javed Khan have been appointed as Special Assistants and notices have been issued. Parties shall provide copies of all documents to the Special Assistants.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till October 26 at 11 am and extended the injunction till the next hearing.
