Boston: Delay in eating on time and especially late in the evening meal causes very negative changes in the human body. In this regard, a recent survey found that not eating on time causes at least three changes, in which there is a change in the elimination of calories, the period of hunger changes and the process of fat accumulation in the body is affected. Is.

It is expected that millions of people around the world can be protected from obesity by following the simple recipe of eating on time. Several studies have previously looked at the link between eating and weight, but experts are now taking a deeper look at the process. It has also brought out biological aspects.

Frank Scheer, a neurologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, and his colleagues believe that eating late can lead to weight gain, abnormal accumulation of body fat, and making it more difficult to lose weight. Because it also makes it difficult to burn calories.

In this study, 16 people were included and each volunteer underwent two experiments, the effects of which lasted for six days. Their sleeping and eating times were strictly controlled and the experiments were repeated several weeks later.

In one experiment, participants were strictly asked to strictly adhere to three meal times of the day: breakfast at 9 am, lunch at 1 pm and dinner at 6 pm. In the second experiment, the meal times were changed and breakfast was given at one o’clock, and the last meal at nine o’clock at night.

During this time the participants were asked questions and blood samples were taken. Late eaters had lower levels of the hormone leptin, and that too for 24 hours, because this hormone makes us feel full. Now the lack of it makes us hungry and we eat more. On the other hand, the rate of heat loss in the body is very slow, which is another major cause of obesity.

Another test showed that adipose tissue gene expression, which plays a major role in body fat accumulation, was also affected. In this way, the tendency of the tissue to accumulate fat begins to increase. Thus, for the first time, concrete evidence of functional and cellular and molecular changes in food delay has been found.

In the next step, scientists will involve large numbers of volunteers in the research.
