Ahsan Iqbal Requests Donations from Pakistanis Abroad

Ahsan Iqbal, minister of planning and chairman of the Federal Flood Relief Committee, has directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) to instruct Pakistanis residing abroad on how to contribute to the Prime Minister’s Flood Relief Fund.

Ahsan motivated Pakistani embassies to provide information about donation on their websites and to initiate a campaign to raise funds for flood victims with the help of overseas Pakistanis.

Further, he highlighted that the whole country is fighting with the calamity of climate change collectively.

However, the federal government and the armed forces are providing the provincial governments their full assistance.

Moreover, he worried that helping flood victims receive relief, rescue, and rehabilitation is the government’s basic priority.
