Christ Church: A 12-year-old female fan was injured by a New Zealand batsman’s powerful six in the match against Bangladesh.
A statement on the Blackcaps Twitter account said that in the eighteenth over of the Bangladesh-New Zealand tri-series match in Christchurch, Kiwi batsman Glenn Phillips hit a brilliant six that hit a 12-year-old girl sitting in the stadium. The injured girl was shifted to the hospital after first aid.
The girl’s injury left both the Cavaliers worried. Glenn Phillips hit another six to give the team victory and then ran to the injured girl and inquired about her well-being. The injured girl was discharged from the hospital on Monday morning after overnight care.
